Mr. Malamood is a trial lawyer who focuses his practice on the representation of clients in serious personal injury cases. He has experience handling Motor Vehicle, Medical Malpractice, Premises Liability, Products Liability and other Personal Liability matters, and has successfully resolved numerous cases on behalf of his clients.
Recently, Mr. Malamood obtained a $1 million dollar jury verdict against two large international pharmaceutical companies in a federal court matter involving the manufacturers’ failure to warn of a side effect of their drug (Risperdal) occurring frequently in children and adolescents. In 2015, he obtained a $1.4 million dollar settlement for his clients who were catastrophically injured in a complicated motorcycle/automobile accident involving multiple defendants. He was also part of the 2014 trial team which obtained a $1.1 million dollar verdict for clients seriously injured in an automobile accident, one of the largest Albany County verdicts in over a decade.
Luke became a partner of the firm on January 1, 2016. Prior to joining the firm, he practiced as an associate at a well-established personal injury firm in the Hudson Valley, and before that, at a large litigation firm in Albany. Luke received his law degree from Albany Law School, where he won the Best Oral Advocate Award in the Domenick L. Gabrielli Appellate Advocacy Moot Court Competition. He earned his undergraduate degree from Villanova University.
